For our task we didn’t work with a director in
our group of three each one of us swapped duties, each one of our groups was a
director working alongside a brief. The
brief allowed us to know what our daily task were and our allocated time with
our duties were each day.
·
Components:
For
the components we had a lot of dialogue and two recorded music components in
the whole film. We got the tracks from a public domain on the internet –
YouTube, as we didn’t have a CD to take the track off of. And we ensured the music was Licensed by
YouTube as it was a recorded song from a celebrity we had to be cautious when
downloading the backing track for our film.
·
Planning:
For
the availability of the locations we had to check the spaces that we looked and
make sure it was a correct place to shoot. Meaning we had to undergo risk assessments
of each location we were planning to shoot. Going to each location we were
planning and taking a picture of each location before shooting there. It was
part of our planning production So we went and shot at the location when they
weren’t busy at all or wasn’t a problem if there was a few people that we there
as it would have made it look more realistic.
For
the recording equipment, we discussed and planned what we wanted and when we wanted
it for. This meant we had to go online and book each equipment before we used
it booking what time we would use it and for how long before, we could proceed
with the shooting. For the planning we didn’t really plan on what type of
software we were going to use, we used final cut pro as it was already
downloaded on the computer and we found it more manageable ton use than the
other editing software For copyrights we found that we couldn’t use the
original version of the actual person so we had to find a different version of
a youtube song.
Throughout each activity we did each day, it was correctly
documented on Google drive and shared on email through each member of our group
for reference.And for refferal

Creativity:
Using
audio track to compliment the visual content of the production was quite hard
at first because we couldn’t decide what was the best song/s to relate to the
situation in the film.
As
a group we separately went out to listen and try and find songs that would
relate to the genre of the film we were producing. We finally came to the
conclusion of using an old time R&B song called ‘Foolish- by a singer
called Ashanti so then Abigail came up with the idea of using ‘Ashanti –
foolish’. But we used an instrumental as
it would have been easier for when we were finishing the movie by doing credits.
·
Edit
sound to picture:
In
our film we only had to lock sound and vision once with the voice-over because
of the voice-over that we chose to record and put in. So syncing them together
would make it much easier for us and for the way it looks. For lip synchronizing we didn’t really need to do that compared to all the split edits
we did, most of the film we made is made up of split edits. Adding music, we
chose two songs that would relate to the theme of the genre of the film we
made. For background music we didn’t put any in, as there wasn’t enough time
but we thought it would be better if there wasn’t any as there was a lot of
dialogue in the film.

·
Sound
sources:
For
this we had to check for the level setting like if it was picking up any sound
and to see how loud and quiet things were. We did the same for equalization,
making sure that the levels were the same so nothing had more than the other.
For mixing dialogue, we made sure that one person wasn’t talking a lot so it
went back and forth, like a proper conversation. We added two different completely sounds of
music as one is slow but R&B where the other is slow but alternative. For
the effects that we had for the songs was that they would fade in and out in
the right place of the film.
